A fearless Income Tax officer Amay Patnaik carries out a non-stop raid at the mansion of Tauji the most powerful man in Lucknow.
Gulshan Kumar & Tseries present, A Panorama Studios Production, Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, Raid is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. The film releases on 16th March 2018.
REAL STORY on which Ajay Devgn Film RAID is Based –
According to a report in India Today, on the morning of 16 July, 1981, Income Tax officials raided the house of businessman, and Congress MLA Sardar Inder Singh in Kanpur. 90 experienced Income Tax officers, under the leadership of the then Income Tax Commissioner of Lucknow, Sharda Prasad Pandey, carried out this raid.
There was another income tax raid on 14th September, 1989, on the factories and homes of two industrialists- paper mill owner Harish Chhabra and jewellery dealer Chitranjan Swarup.
